iPhone 3G Report35 - yellowsn0w (baseband unlock succeeded!!)

Finally, iPhone dev team released software based baseband unlock app "yellowsn0w".

I tried it on my iPhone and it successfully worked!! My iPhone 3G detected NTT DoCoMo as carrier, then I could make a phone call via the network.

I am so excited!!

I failed several times after installing yellowsn0w, and found a tip which enables it on terminal.

# yellowsn0w -r

I guess you can make it.

# updates on version 0.9.5

Connection is intermittently unstable while using yellowsn0w 0.9.5 with original carrier (SoftBank) SIM though NTT DoCoMo is stable.

-> 0.9.6 is released and fixed the previous problem.

rightct :

i just arrive to jpn, my iphone 3g (with yellowsn0w) could not find any network, when i took the sim card and plug it in my nokia, it found Jp DoCoMo.

Any help?
thanks

POLO :

Do you have DoCoMo's SIM Card and did you insert it in your iPhone?
Or, you inserted your carrier's SIM card into Nokia phone?
In the latter case, I guess your Nokia phone is not SIM free or your carrier does not support loaming.

Thank you for your comment.

I think you shouldn't buy information which you can find in the internet.
I guess most unlock howto will be found by google.
