kamon.jpg
I had to decide my kamon (家紋 / family crest) for my tomb which I bought for my mother and my family, but I don't want to use existing one for my own.

So, I looked for roots of my family name and family crest used for same family name. I found several crests and sampled the one of them, "Hidari Mitsu Fuji Tomoe Mon" (左三ツ藤巴紋). Then I simplified swirl edge of wisteria, took out 3 leafs around the circle, and added my favorite symbol "star" as my original design.

Though I do not like Japanese traditional way of funeral and ceremonies, at least I repect the tradition by sampling roots of old kamon design with new essense.
